The Porn Smart for Parents Seminar can be run by schools or community groups for parents to attend. There is the option of an online anonymous survey to be completed prior to the session so the seminar can be tailored to the particular questions and concerns of attendees.

The ubiquity, exploitation, violence, addictive nature and sexuality messages of internet pornography is of great concern to many parents. The Porn Smart Seminar aims to assist parents understand the potential harms of pornography to children and teens. The seminar also suggests preventative as well as treatment responses.

The session is taught using the Porn Habit Hexagon:

1. Sex & relationship education from parents: pornography in context & prevention
2. Sexuality values, standards & goals: clarifying and choosing responses & direction
3. Internet porn realities: content, accessibility & justice concerns and statistics
4. Potential harmful effects on the brain: neuroscience of compulsion & addiction
5. Potential harmful effects on relationships: physical, attitudinal & emotional
6. A way forward: resources and strategies for pornography sobriety

Pornography is also included in the Teen Sex Smart for Parents Seminar and the Teen Habit Smart #2 for Parents Seminar.
